Given the seemingly high price tag, it’s common to wonder, “Is Kajabi worth it?”

The first time we looked at Kajabi pricing, we wondered, “why is Kajabi so expensive?” After all, you can get hosting for a little over $2 per month and build your own WordPress website with YouTube videos embedded as your course.

But after using Kajabi for 2 years and creating courses for ourselves and our clients, we’ve decided that, yes — it’s worth it.

So, in this blog, we will show you all of the ways Kajabi saves us money, so you can decide if it’s worth it for you.

Why is Kajabi So Expensive? It’s Multiple Tools in One

#1. Kajabi Saves Us Web Development Costs

Our first website was built on WordPress. We hired a professional web developer and designer, and it ended up costing us $10,000. After the website was done, we had no idea how to use it except to update blog posts. Any major design change required calling our web designer and paying their rate, which wasn’t cheap.

On the other hand, Kajabi offers a simple, intuitive web development tool. It has drag-and-drop functionality and is easy enough for someone with no website experience to use. So, our second website is built in Kajabi, and the best part is — we can make updates to it any time without paying a dime to a web designer.

#2. Kajabi Saves Us on Email Marketing Costs

Another huge saving for us is on email marketing services. Since email marketing is also included in the Kajabi plan, we now don’t have to pay email marketing providers to send out our newsletters, email funnels, and broadcasts.

For reference, before we knew Kajabi was worth it, we used MailChimp. For about $11 a month, you get 500 contacts. That’s a great price when you are starting out and don’t have a huge email list.

But let’s look at the pricing as your business and email list grow. Getting 10,000 users on MailChimp will be at least $87 a month or over $1,000 a year. If you need 25,000 contacts, MailChimp charges $225 a month or $2,700 a year. And that’s just for email marketing, nothing else.

By contrast, Kajabi is just $200 a month if you pay monthly. You get a 20% discount if you pay annually. With that price, you can send your emails to 100,000 contacts, which makes Kajabi worth it, even if you just use it for email marketing and nothing else.

#3. Kajabi Saves Us Learning Management System Costs

The key feature of Kajabi for most people is the learning management system — which hosts your course content and delivers it to your learners. There are certainly some LMSs that are cheaper than Kajabi, about $100 to $200 per year.

But LMSs like Learn Dash and Moodle are hard to use and require you to put in a lot of work. For a solid LMS, you will pay closer to $400 a month or more.

For example, Rise’s cheapest package is around that much. However, this package only has 100 active students. If you want 1,000 students, you’ll need to pay $2,000 monthly.

On the other hand, when you get Kajabi for $150 a month, you get 2,000 active students, which is really a steal. After this comparison, you won’t ask yourself why Kajabi is so expensive. It really isn’t if you look at the numbers.

#4. Kajabi Saves Us Hosting Costs

The next bit of savings for us is video hosting. Many companies use Wistia, and it is a great tool. It costs $100 a month or $1,200 a year, but you actually get white-label Wistia for free with Kajabi. It is the same exact thing but a white label, and you just pay $50 a month more for this functionality in Kajabi.

Then, you need to consider other types of hosting, such as your website hosting. Companies like HostGator have fairly inexpensive hosting options that will end up costing you about $70 a year, but you can easily spend thousands a year on website hosting without even noticing.

With Kajabi, you don’t have to pay for video or website hosting separately; it’s all included.

#5. Kajabi Saves Us On Integration Costs

When we still used MailChimp and a WordPress website, every attempt at automating funnels and email sequences came with a headache We had to sign up for Zapier to have everything integrated. We also had to hire a Zapier expert from Upwork to ensure it worked fine. We had to take our time away from more important tasks to resolve issues.

Since Kajabi already includes all of the things you need to run your business, you don’t have to worry about integrations. You get your website builder, LMS, email marketing, hosting, and so much more on a single platform, and it’s all working together.

Not to mention the abundance of educational resources Kajabi provides and its customer support.

Conclusion

When you account for all of these savings and added benefits, you realize that Kajabi isn’t expensive. It’s saved us thousands of dollars and made even more. And the best part — it saved us a ton of headache on managing all of the moving pieces of our business by offering a solution for all of our needs in one place.
